La Olla organization of Colombians in Freiburg invites all those interested to attend the screening of the documentary “El río que se robaron” (The river that was stolen) by director Gonzalo Guillén and join the discussion on the environmental and social impacts derived from coal mining in the territory of the Wayuu indigenous community in the north of Colombia.
The objective of the screening will be to make visible and discuss the relations between Germany and Colombia that foster the reproduction of unequal systems, marginalization and impoverishment of racialized communities in the global south. Understanding that local problems are the product of global dynamics, we invite activists in Freiburg to join this space where it is also hoped to create alliances, ideas and actions to contribute to the transformation of these realities.
